How You Spend YourEight Hours
* Handle a high volume ofphone calls and maintain patient database
* Maintain daily work queues and documentation
* Provide technical assistance with agency issues servicesand programs
* Maintain and create files forrecordkeeping systems
* Sort labelelectronically file and retrieve documents or other materialsincluding those from the HPE overnight process
* Collect and review patient information to determinepatient eligibility
* Complete Medicaidapplications online using the FSSA Benefits Portal
* Prepare and review documents for accuracy andcompleteness
* Communicate clearly promptly andpositively with patients coworkers and clients
* Maintain confidentiality at all times (i.e. PHI HIPAA andHITEC)
* Exemplify the mission vision and corevalues of the client in all personal and professional settings andbe a role model to all associates
* Collaboratewith supervisor to identify personal learning needs and set goalsusing available resources
* Maintain workingknowledge of departmental and hospital policies and procedures byparticipating and reading updates and other communicationprovided
* Collaborate with team members tosupport their efforts through teamwork and the acceptance ofadditional assignments
What YouMust Possess
* High school diploma orequivalent educational levels
* Computerproficiency (required)
* Ability to quicklygrasp and navigate through multiple systems and EMRseffectively
* At least one year of combinedexperience working and training as a Patient Advocate or otherrelated jobs
* Working knowledge of HIPAA FDCPAand Red Flags regulations
* Considerableknowledge of Medicaid programs
* Considerableknowledge of the Federal Marketplace
* Generalknowledge of all agency and community programs and services thatcould affect clients and applicants
* Ability tomultitask (speaking on the phone searching databases and typing)effectively
* Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills
* Ability to work well in afastpaced changing environment
* Goodmathematical reasoning and computational skills
* Ability to read analyze and interpret rules regulationsand procedures
* Ability to communicate withclients applicants the public at large and public officials toobtain data explain and interpret rules regulations andprocedures
* Ability to work independently andwith others on a team to complete a task
