A dedicated leader with a passion for transforming young lives is required for a SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER / TEAM LEADER role in a residential care setting. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in providing outstanding care and support to young people with learning disabilities (LD).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Be part of a senior care leadership team managing children’s homes.
* Lead, inspire, and develop a team of residential support workers.
* Ensure young people thrive in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
* Work closely with education, health, and therapy specialists to provide integrated support.
* Take on a leadership role with excellent progression opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience: Prior experience supporting young people with learning disabilities in a residential setting.
* Qualifications: A Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is required.
* Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
* Safeguarding Knowledge: A deep understanding of safeguarding procedures and best practices.
* Resilience & Passion: A proactive and compassionate approach to working with young people.
KEY DUTIES
* Oversee the daily operations of a designated home/cluster.
* Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, care, and support for young people.
* Mentor and develop Shift Leaders and Residential Support Workers.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies.
* Drive positive outcomes and promote independence for young people.
* Collaborate with social workers, families, and external agencies.
* Oversee budgets, staffing, and performance management within the home.
