Warehousing and Storage Assessor to start in September / October 2024
Based in HMP Oakham, Rutland East Midlands
Working hours: 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday (No Friday working)
Salary: £25k plus brilliant benefits including 45p a mile when traveling out to support other training centres
This is a permanent position, 4 days a week, with great benefits including a birthday off after the first year of service, plus 5 loyalty days after 5 years of service, equivalent to 5 weeks holidays plus bank holidays per year, ongoing training, professional development, and mentoring opportunities.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver a high-quality vocational competency-based curriculum up to Level 2 utilizing awarding body standards/criteria.
2. Ensure that all learner records are accurate and maintained in line with policies and procedures, GDPR, and contractual requirements.
3. Maintain a full caseload of learners (in line with contract) and generate new starts through excellent communication skills and relationship building with learners and prison staff.
4. Help overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners' needs.
5. Monitor student attendance and progress through regular learner assessment and reviews.
6. Ensure all completed portfolios are submitted for IQA within 5 days of learner completion.
Minimum Requirements:
To apply for the role of Warehousing and Storage Assessor, you need to hold either a recognized Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA, or TAQA OR a teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET) and experience of managing a caseload of at least 30 learners (per quarter). A good level of IT skills is essential, along with the flexibility to work at multiple locations. A full, current driving license and access to a vehicle, which is insured for business use, are also required.
