FFP Canterbury Ltd have immediate openings for Fire Alarm Technicians!
Experience in the fire or electrical industry is a definite advantage.
This is a front-line technical role and relates directly to the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
The role covers the whole of the South Canterbury region, so applicants should be physically fit and hold a clean full driver’s licence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Repairs and maintenance of existing alarm systems
* Assisting with inspections
Ideal Candidate:
* Outgoing personality with the ability to build strong rapport with clients.
* Smart in appearance, pleasant in attitude, and capable of communicating diplomatically.
* Willingness to gain the NZQA L4 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems qualification.
* Strong work ethic with self-management skills.
* Great written and verbal communication skills.
* Competent in working with mobile electronic devices (phone, tablet, laptop).
* Ability to interpret general construction drawings and manufacturers manuals.
* Desire to learn new skills and work well within a small team.
