We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we’re seeking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated High Voltage Repairs Technician to join our team.
As a High Voltage Repairs Technician at Megger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of high voltage electrical systems. You will be responsible for both pre-planned and reactive servicing and maintenance of Megger’s range of cable test vans and High Voltage instruments, you will carry out planned scheduled maintenance and reactive tasks following unforeseen breakdowns etc.
As part of our succession planning, this role could lead to a more senior level-based role within the Service, Calibration and Repairs department. In addition, there is a 20% premium included with this role when attending the SEBA tours.
Responsibilities
1. Performing routine maintenance and inspections on high voltage equipment.
2. Travel to customer sites and carry out high voltage and low voltage service repairs/inspections.
3. Produce service tour inspection reports including H&S checks and risk assessments.
4. Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues.
5. Conducting tests and measurements to ensure equipment performance.
6. Performing repairs and replacements of faulty components.
7. Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new high voltage systems.
8. Adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
9. Documenting all service activities and maintaining accurate records.
10. Collaborating with engineers and other team members to optimize system performance
Qualifications
11. BTEC qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering
12. Familiar with the repairs and servicing of High Voltage products
13. Knowledge of Health and Safety practices applicable to working with High Voltage
14. Methodical with a practical ability including diagnostic skills.
15. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
16. Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
17. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
18. Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
