Our client, a market leader in the food and drink industry, is seeking an accomplished and driven Technical Manager to join their technical department. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of their senior leadership team, play a pivotal role in shaping technical strategy, and contribute to the continued success and development of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
-Strategic Leadership: Be a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to the technical strategy and site development.
-Team Management: Provide direction, support, and development for the technical team, ensuring high performance and a forward-thinking approach.
-Food Safety Culture: Drive food safety culture throughout the factory, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.
-Audits and Site Visits: Lead and be present for all external site visits and audits, including BRC and retailer standards, ensuring successful outcomes.
-Stakeholder Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with internal teams and external contractors, fostering strong, collaborative partnerships.
-HACCP Management: Oversee the site's HACCP system and ensure the effective maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Qualifications and Experience:
-Proven experience as a Technical Manager in the food and drink industry.
-A minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical role.
-Previous experience with chilled products (preferred but not essential).
-Strong knowledge and experience working with BRC and retailer standards.
-Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Salary - £65,000-£75,000 (Dependent on Experience)
