Position: Assistant Project Manager
Rate: Indicative Inside IR35

People Group are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company.
Responsibilities
* Helping to administer contract elements related to the delivery of the infrastructure project, ensuring adherence to the project programme and closely collaborating with the Project Manager.
* Administration of the delivery of construction documents produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor, reviewing detail and ensuring a high quality of work.
* Managing communication and change control between stakeholders, including the client, the contractor and the Depot user population.
* Checking and ensuring robust implementation of the contractor's programme.
* Preparing planning application documents including the environmental statement.
* Promotion of an exemplary Health and Safety culture.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Graduate Engineer or similar level of qualifications and proven work experience.
* Experience working in the UK rail industry client side.
* Understanding of Contracts and Contract Management, specifically NEC4 Contract.
* Experience in using recognised contract management techniques (e.g. CEMAR).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Familiarity with project management software and financial systems is advantageous.
