Bookkeeper with Payroll Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and run weekly payroll using Sage 50. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping: Document and monitor financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
3. Payroll Processing: Run weekly payroll using Sage 50, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
4. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
5. Financial Reporting: Prepare and file financial documents, generate financial reports, and assist with tax filings.
6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
7. Support: Assist with other accounting tasks as needed and collaborate with staff accountants.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
2. Proficiency in Sage 50 and other accounting software.
3. Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
