We have an opportunity for someone to join us as a Digital Communications Assistant This is a fixed term position of up to 1 year to cover maternity leave and will be based at our Hospice in Cambridge. This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week) and we can offer hybrid working once an initial training and induction period has been completed. The role sits within the Communications Team which works across the charity and with external partners to raise awareness of the services we provide. The team has responsibility for internal and external communications including PR and media, publications, digital marketing and brand management. As our Digital Communications Assistant you will work with our virtual community across different social media platforms to raise awareness, help people access the service and to communicate ways in which people can support our work. Main duties will include: Updating and monitoring our social media channels. Creating high quality content for different social media platforms Responding to and engaging with our virtual community. Keeping informed about the latest events and news from the Charity in order to identify, create and produce suitable content. We are looking for candidates who have previous experience in a similar role and been involved in creating quality content for social media and had experience of working with imaging software and design programmes. An understanding of how to stay up to date with developments and trends in social media is also required. Due to the nature of the role it's a requirement that candidates hold a driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes. There may be occasions where it’s required to attend events outside of working hours, we have a TOIL based system in place to manage this.
