Position : Support Worker Location : Adult Day Centre Salary : £25,000 per annum FTE, plus a £500 welcome bonus Hours : 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Part-time options: 3 or 4 full days per week) Annual Leave : 23 days paid holiday, plus bank holidays About the Role : Become part of a compassionate team at this adult day centre, where you'll support autistic learners aged 18 and up. As a Support Worker, your role will involve: Working one-on-one and in small groups to foster skills and knowledge that enhance learners' well-being, independence, and social participation. Implementing behaviour-based teaching strategies and interventions to encourage positive outcomes and growth. Helping learners apply their skills in practical settings, both within the Centre for Lifelong Learning and in the wider community. Key Responsibilities : Provide dedicated care, support, and education to autistic adult learners. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities that build essential knowledge and skills. Offer behaviourally-based assistance to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life. Support learners in maintaining personal hygiene and dignity, including assistance with toileting, dressing, and washing. Facilitate participation in social, leisure, and educational activities within the local area. Help learners access work experience and employment opportunities.
