Job Description
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Virtual Designer within our London & East construction business. With offices in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, and Chelmsford (Essex), we deliver projects across multiple sectors within north London, the northern home counties and East Anglia. This will be a hybrid role.
The Assistant Virtual Designer will provide technical support to develop visualisation solutions throughout all project stages. This role is pivotal in helping the project team communicate the construction process and the proposed outcome.
You will be highly task-oriented and take accountability for delivering on smaller projects or specific work packages.
The ideal candidate should have experience in 3D modelling. You will assist in creating 4D animations to support our construction methodology and logistics. You will also assist in creating breath-taking CGIs within the rendering software, occasionally utilising Photoshop. A willingness to learn is fundamental.
The role will include:
* Creating and editing your own 3D library.
* Working with our bid operational lead to create logistics and construction methodology visuals/animations to enhance the bid.
* Researching new techniques and improving buildability capabilities within the desired software.
* Collaborating with our virtual designer to think of innovative ways to improve our competitive submissions, bringing our construction methodology to life.
Requirements
Essential and Desirable Criteria
* Good understanding of some or all software (3DS Max, Sketchup, Revit, Lumion, and Autocad).
* Experience in the construction industry.
* Understanding of 3D animation techniques and architectural, exterior/interior visualisation.
