We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the East Suffolk Council's Operations team as a Land Assets Maintenance and Projects Lead. Your role You will be responsible for the leading and managing of a team, providing comprehensive Civil Engineering/Land Management related design, inspection, and contract management service to internal and external stakeholders. You will achieve this by delivering, controlling and managing property related projects and maintenance services for the Council’s land and infrastructure in a professional and customer focused way, which achieves program, meets performance targets, and the Council’s Strategic Plan. You will provide technical leadership and act as the technical expert in Council Land related matters. You will be responsible for the management of Health and Safety, ensuring that compliance is met particularly in relation to the CDM Regulations and the Occupiers' Liability Act and that all industry statute is adhered to. You will manage projects using project management protocol to include management of change, risk and budgetary control with engagement and regular reporting to all stakeholders and support the aims and objectives of the wider Asset Management team and Operations service. What you will need You will have expert knowledge of an engineering related discipline and associated regulations, methods and materials, as well as Flood alleviation, coastal, water, drainage, land and infrastructure asset inspection and associated risk management. Political awareness and good knowledge of Public Sector services, systems, and procedures is essential. You will be qualified to a degree Level qualification in an engineering, environmental, or geography related discipline and membership of a relevant professional body such as CIWEM, IET, ICE, or other equivalent and be committed to your own development and to supporting training and development initiatives.
