Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Communications Executive (Football) will be responsible for creating content around the Club’s sporting endeavours across the First Team and Academy. The post holder will be required to produce daily football content for the website and social media, plus match day coverage for all First Team games, both home and away, and Academy games as required. In brief, you will focus and help innovate on all football content, including on Academy reporting.

Key Performance Indicators
1. To consistently produce a high standard of communications output and digital content for the Club, and the Huddersfield Town Foundation as required.
2. To meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, without compromising on quality of work.
3. To ensure communications output and digital content are consistent with the Club’s brand guidelines and best practice standards.
4. To have strong football/supporter knowledge and be innovative and creative with outputs.
5. Be available/willing to attend all First Team games, both home and away, and Academy matches as required.
Role Specific Responsibilities
The post holder will be required to:
1. Be responsible for ensuring a consistent tone of voice, level of output, consistency of message, and quality across all online channels.
2. Collaborate with the Creative team to create bespoke and entertaining content for communications channels encompassing graphics, design, and video.
3. Be creative, proactive, and forward-thinking in populating existing content streams while contributing fresh ideas and concepts to evolve all Club output.
4. Monitor how supporters and others engage with the Club’s website and social media content, to gauge its effectiveness and impact.
5. Maintain understanding and up-to-date knowledge of communications and how video and graphics can be used to best effect across different platforms.
6. Produce an agreed number of articles/pieces of work each day.
7. Work closely with all members of the wider Marketing and Communications team and assist colleagues with other work as required.

This position is full-time (35+ hours per week, including match days), permanent, and has a starting salary of up to £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The fast-paced nature of the organisation necessitates high-level planning and time-management skills, and a creative and flexible approach to work.
