What skills and experience we're looking for
Willoughby Road Primary Academy are looking to appoint a SEN Support Assistant for 30 hours per week, term time only to join the academy as soon as possible. The role will be varied and will involve supporting at a whole class level, leading small groups as well as working on a 1:1 basis where needed. The position is linked to EHCP funding and so the role will evolve and change as the children progress through the school. The fixed term contract will end when the children move onto their next phase of education, or they leave year 6 in July 2031 whichever is sooner.
This position will initially be to support the EYFS setting but will then progress through the school with the children ensuring they are accessing the curriculum and developing their understanding, whilst providing support for their emotional wellbeing and individual needs.
