Brief Description
Provide a comprehensive Electrification & Plant engineering support service to Regions, focussed on specified delivery units.
About the role
1. Assist in providing assurance as to whether Electrification & Plant engineering maintenance regimes for specific routes are being followed in accordance with company policies, standards and specifications.
2. Support the provision of a Electrification & Plant engineering support service focussed on specified delivery units, but also supporting other delivery units when required.
3. Support the provision of technical briefings associated with Electrification & Plant to engineers in specified delivery units in order that the purpose, as well as the content of standards, specification, etc. is understood.
4. Monitor the technical competence of engineers associated with Electrification & Plant in specified delivery units.
5. Review and comment on derogation and non-compliance applications to Electrification & Plant related standards.
6. Support the provision of advice and guidance to the delivery unit engineers in the production of business focussed renewals proposals.
7. Support the provision of Electrification & Plant engineering input to the implementation of the maintenance audit programme.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
* Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution.
* Experience in Electrification & Plant engineering.
* An understanding of the maintenance of Electrification & Plant assets.
* Knowledge of the relevant technical, safety and performance standards.
* Holds relevant professional licences and technical qualifications, or capable of achieving within reasonable timescales.
* Holds valid UK driving licence, or eligible and willing to obtain.
Desirable
* Degree in a relevant subject.
* Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
* Understanding and experience of railway infrastructure maintenance.
* Experience of undertaking engineering assurance activities, including competence assessment.
How to apply
Salary: £43,588 - £49,036.
