Are you an experienced Sub Agent looking for your next challenge in highway and infrastructure projects? We are seeking a dedicated Sub Agent to join the Projects Team on the North West Contract.
The company has a strong track record of delivering drainage improvement works for National Highways schemes, and we are looking for a motivated professional to help drive our projects forward.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage a range of highway-based projects, ensuring safe, timely, and budget-compliant delivery.
*
Work closely with the Site Agent/Project Manager to develop construction programmes and methodologies.
*
Supervise site activities, ensuring adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
*
Monitor site progress, report exceptions, and support risk management processes.
*
Prepare and implement Construction Phase Plans and ensure safe systems of work are in place.
*
Liaise with commercial teams, designers, and site personnel to effectively manage project changes.
*
Represent company and their client professionally, engaging with stakeholders and attending public liaison meetings.
*
Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain site records such as diaries, photographs, and as-built drawings.
*
Be prepared to supervise night operations and report to senior management accordingly.
What We’re Looking For:
*
SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential).
*
CSCS (Supervisor) Card (essential).
*
Full UK driving licence (essential).
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising highway improvement and public realm works.
*
New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Operative or Supervisor Accreditation (preferable).
*
Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, planning software, and environmental & quality standards.
*
Experience managing subcontractors, workforce, and budgets.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
*
Willingness to work nights and travel when required.
