Hays are working exclusively with a successful, growing organisation based in Worcestershire who are looking to add an Accounts Clerk to their fast-paced finance team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
1. To support the Finance team with Accounts Payable, dealing with enquiries and tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
2. To share responsibility for Accounts Receivable and to ensure that communications are monitored and answered.
3. To oversee general cash management, including banking and related queries, ensuring that amounts and records are correct.
4. Undertaking administrative support to Management Accountants and clerical tasks to support where appropriate.
5. Recording and filing cash transactions.
6. Assisting with month-end processes where appropriate.
7. You will be the first point of contact for all related enquiries.
8. Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Solid understanding of financial systems and processes.
2. Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and make recommendations.
3. Good IT skills and ability to work with multiple systems.
4. Strong attention to detail.
5. Good written and oral communication skills.
6. Ability to work as part of a team.
7. Positive attitude towards problem solving.
8. Previous experience in Accounts is highly desirable.
