The role
As a Project Engineer - Strategic Systems, you’ll work with the MoD on our strategic systems for in-service submarines, impacting and influencing change within a dynamic and diverse team.
Day-to-day, you’ll work within the Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) Directorate, ensuring the continuous support of our in-service fleet.
* Provide technical solutions and work package/project management in the delivery of the project
* Apply engineering and domain knowledge to achieve contracted outputs
* Deliver tasks for which you are responsible and accountable for the timeliness and quality of outputs and deliverables
* Support the growth and development of the business
* Maintain high standards of conduct and customer relations with various stakeholders
This role is full-time, 35 hours per week, providing hybrid working arrangements with days in the office and days working from home.
Essential experience:
* Understanding of Project Life Cycle management, from concept through to disposal
* Previous experience in Project Management or Engineering disciplines/industries
* Experience with MS Projects is beneficial
* Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
* Systematic approach and problem-solving mindset
Qualifications:
* Hold a degree in an Engineering or Project Management subject, or demonstrable experience
* Professional registration with an engineering institution (or working towards) is beneficial

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who can achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
