We are currently looking for aSpecialty Doctor;you will be based in theMicrobiology department, Eastern Pathology Alliancewhich coversQueen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich and James Paget Hospital, Great Yarmouth.
You will work closely with our senior clinical team and benefit from their experience and knowledge allowing you to expand your own clinical experience every day.
This is a 12 month fixed term post to support the consultants in this busy microbiology laboratory with an active clinical liaison and infection control workload.
The principal duties of the post holder will be to support the consultants in the day-to-day reporting of results, and the provision of clinical advice on bacteriology, infection control and antimicrobial stewardship.
The candidate should have 6 years clinical experience with 4 of the years in the microbiology specialty.
This post is not a training post, and as such is not recognized for training, but it is proposed to provide an educational opportunity equivalent to a recognized training post.
