Job summary
The Clinical Quality Manager willplay a critical role in advancing the quality of care at EBPC. Working with the Head of ClinicalGovernance & Quality and the team this post is designed to work inpartnership and collaboration to promote and monitor quality of care standards.
Thispost will seek every opportunity to support and enable improvement through embeddingquality improvement methodologies, overseeing incident management, and drivingchange to improve patient outcomes. As a senior manager and clinician withinEBPC, your vast knowledge and experience will be valuable to our widerworkforce through on call activities.

Main duties of the job
Supportsafe and effective service delivery within the clinical governanceframework.

Support the LFPSE and PSIRF approach in responding topatient safety incidents for learning and improvement.
Ensure compassionate engagement and involvement of thoseaffected by patient safety incidents.
Provideconsidered and proportionate responses to patient safety incidents.
Supportoversight focused on strengthening service functioning and improvement.
Championa learning culture through comprehensive incident investigation, after actionreviews, and the application of lessons learned.
Ensureall communication with patients, relative and carers is open, honest and thatinvestigations are transparent and independent.
Collaboratewith teams to ensure timely reporting, analysis, promoting transparency andcontinuous improvement.

Policy and Compliance
Assistin the regular review and update of clinical policies and procedures, ensuringcompliance with NHS standards and statutory requirements.
Toanalyse and translate national policy into local context to inform policy andstrategy development.
Tosupport the clinical governance and quality agenda to harness best practice,improve standards and give consistency in outcomes.
Supportaudits and regulatory inspections, coordinating responses and action plans toaddress findings.
Quality Improvement Initiatives
Developand lead quality improvement projects, fostering a multidisciplinary approachto enhance patient care.
Ensurelearning from incidents, complaints, claims, reviews and inspections are sharedincluding good practice.
Monitorkey performance indicators and create reports to inform senior management oftrends, risks, and progress against quality objectives.
Workwith colleagues across EBPC to identify and resolve the barriers and potentialenablers for improvement.
Training and Education
Providetraining and support to staff on clinical governance, patient safetyprinciples, and the LFPSE and PSIRF frameworks.
Leadclinical supervision groups.
Facilitateworkshops and seminars to promote awareness and embed best practices acrossteams.
Continuouslypromote learning and evaluation of changes and improvement.
Collaboration and Communication
Actas a liaison with external stakeholders, such as NHS Trusts and otherhealthcare partners, to share insights and coordinate joint qualityinitiatives.
Attendand actively contribute to professional forums to inform and influencestrategy, practice and processes.
Ensurefeedback from patients, staff and carers is effectively utilised in shapingservice improvements.
Contributeto the Clinical Governance & Quality Newsletters and Bulletins to enableshared learning to be disseminated across EBPC.
Attendsites to assess quality oversight in relation to PHE campaigns, infectionprevention and control, and medicines management.
Other Requirements
Ability to work in a fasted paced environment with priorities changingfrequently.
On call is on a rotational basis operating one week in four.

This post isone of continual development.
