Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Service (EBD) We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in a Children's Residential Service supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). In this role, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and providing leadership to a team of residential staff. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of care plans for children and young people, ensuring their individual needs are met. Provide leadership and supervision to a team of care staff, ensuring that all are trained, motivated, and delivering the highest standards of care. Ensure the service is compliant with safeguarding policies, regulations, and quality standards. Support the Service Manager in managing staffing levels, rotas, and operational activities. Manage and respond to any challenging behaviours or crisis situations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Foster effective communication with external professionals, families, and other stakeholders to support the welfare of the children and young people. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development for both staff and service users. Key Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a residential care setting, ideally with EBD young people. Strong leadership and communication skills. A passion for working with vulnerable children and young people. Knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory requirements, and child development. A commitment to the continuous development of both yourself and your team.
