The role
1. Gain new Business by making appointments and visiting potential customers.
2. To proactively pursue all new sales leads, negotiate sales and follow up on all estimates.
3. Deliver excellent customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from customers.
4. Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and colleagues.
5. Providing an efficient, friendly and professional point of contact to customers.
6. Introduce new products and promote them to customers and potential new accounts.
7. Ensure all commitments to customers are realistic and achievable.
8. Working in an organised manner to optimise efficiency.
9. Maintaining up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge of all products and services, whilst building awareness of competitors’ activities.

10. Must have a proven track record of Field Sales in the construction industry
11. To be able to hit the ground running and have contacts you can call on within the industry
12. Self-motivation, experience in territory sales planning and managing diary.
13. To develop a full understanding of and products and ability to relay this enthusiasm and knowledge to potential customers.
14. To be sales and results driven.
15. A customer-centric attitude, personable and experienced at making a good first impression and building long-term relationships.
16. Work closely with the Account Management team and National Sales Manager to ensure accounts receive exceptional customer service and support.
17. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and highly numerate.
18. Proactive, lateral thought processes, with an ability to identify solutions and a naturally persuasive manner.
19. An appreciation of teamwork and a good fit with the Account Management Department, the National Sales Manager and The Head of Trade Sales.
Ability to represent the Company in a professional, friendly and authoritative manner
