Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
1. Lead on the day-to-day operational management of the PCN, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of services.
2. Monitor and manage budgets and financial performance across the PCN, ensuring that services are delivered within budget and resources are effectively allocated.
3. Implement and monitor performance management systems, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
4. Ensure that all business-related administrative functions (e.g., payroll, finance reporting, contract management) are carried out in an efficient and compliant manner.
Strategic Planning and Development
1. Contribute to the strategic planning of the PCN, identifying areas for growth, efficiency improvements, and innovation.
2. Work with the Clinical Director and other key stakeholders to implement operational strategies and objectives that align with the overall vision of the PCN.
3. Support the PCN in the delivery of service redesigns and integration of services across practices and partners.
Stakeholder Engagement
1. Act as the key point of contact between the PCN and external stakeholders, including NHS commissioners, local authorities, and third-party providers.
2. Facilitate and coordinate communication between member practices, ensuring collaboration and sharing of best practices.
3. Represent the PCN in external meetings and liaise with partners as required.
Compliance and Governance
1. Ensure that the PCN complies with all regulatory, contractual, and legal requirements.
2. Implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure high standards of governance across the network.
3. Lead on risk management and health and safety within the PCN.
Human Resource Management in conjunction with Our Health Partnership
1. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of PCN staff, ensuring that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles effectively.
2. Manage HR-related functions such as appraisals, performance management, and employee relations.
3. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all staff within the PCN, promoting a positive work culture.
Business Development and Innovation
1. Explore opportunities for new services, contracts, and funding streams.
2. Manage projects to improve service delivery, increase efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes.
