7. Dedicating time to understanding the data and its users to ensure a comprehensive assessment of the impact of changes from all perspectives.
8. Maintaining accurate data records and documenting quality controls, policies, and procedures.
9. Supporting wider Data Governance activities on an ad hoc basis.
A bit about you
Your friends would probably describe you as ‘the logical one’. We’re looking for someone who likes to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion. You’ll challenge current processes, be tenacious, and have a keen eye for detail. You want to be part of a collaborative culture where you feel empowered but always know you’ll never be left alone.
You love to work with smart people and hate mediocrity; you know there is almost always a better way of doing things even if it can’t be delivered immediately. Smaller teams, a flat structure, constantly learning, being challenged, having your own chunk of responsibility and being trusted to make it happen describe in a nutshell the environment you really thrive in. You want to be part of a collaborative culture where you feel empowered but always know you’ll never be left alone.
To thrive in this role, we’d expect you to have experience with some of the following:
10. Comfortable using Excel, and confident using pivot tables and writing formulae
11. Analytical, with an eye for detail
12. A self-starter, able to identify needs and address them quickly
13. Have excellent communication skills – we need you to be completely comfortable representing our culture and values, and comfortable chairing meetings with business data owners
14. Know what great looks like and apply it here - you can identify creative solutions to problems
15. Be happiest taking full ownership for your work and prioritising
16. Previous experience with Power BI and SQL would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
