A local international East Riding manufacturer are looking to recruit a R&D mechanical design engineer for their growing international company.
The successful candidate will be working within a small team, Collaborating with other departments and team members and work toward project goals and deadlines.
Duties involved within the role consist of:
-Collaborating with team members on joint projects
-carrying out site visits where required
-Work with other departments to carry out product testing
-Create pneumatic circuit designs
-Create concepts/designs based on specifications
-Developing 3D and 2D models of schematics and assembly checks
-Maintain project folder structure, and make sure all relevant documentation is completed
-Provide drawings/documentation to support safety compliance
-Use available software sizing tools and perform calculations where required
-Create new product documentation and collaborate with electrical design team
-Work with other departments to produce standards work documents
-Carry out DFMA (Design for manufacture and assembly) process in conjunction with R+D shop floor
-Maintain quality of design – drafting standards, consistency of dimensioning and tolerancing
-Share 2D machined part drawings with machine shop for review prior to release
-Determine design/BOM structuring requirements for new product design
-Work with production design team to assess ECR’s
