Colchester Medical Practice, an established, successful practice and primary care network, is looking to appoint an experienced part-time permanent clinical coder and QOF administrator to join our experienced and expanding coding/QOF team. We require you to work 25 hours a week, working Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day at Castle Gardens Medical Centre. The hours are flexible and would suit someone looking for school hours and for the right candidate we would also consider hybrid working i.e working both at Castle Gardens and at home. This is not an entry-level role so you will need to have previous experience working in a similar position. Your main duties and areas of responsibility will be: Coding clinical documents accurately within a 48 hour timescale. Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following the practice protocol. Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions following the practice protocol. Quality outcomes framework (QOF) - you will be responsible for allocated QOF clinical indicators to achieve targets for the practice. Please see job description attached for further details. About the Candidate We are looking for candidates who have experience in clinical coding/QOF/EMIS web clinical system for this specialised role. The candidates we would welcome applications from: Experience of clinical coding in a GP surgery or hospital. Experience of QOF work in a GP surgery. Experience of working in a GP surgery in any role. Experience of working in the NHS in a similar role. Completed clinical coding course, self funded but not yet put into practice. We are looking for the following qualities; A strong attention to detail, ability to work to a high standard and at a fast pace. Ability to manage own workload, but will have the support of the coding/QOF team and line manager. A team player, flexible and able to cover when coders on annual leave or sick.
