Teaching Assistant – Pupil Referral Unit
Do you have experience with children who have additional learning needs, including emotional and behavioral difficulties, social emotional mental health, and autism spectrum condition?
Teaching Personnel is seeking a teaching assistant to work in one of our partner Pupil Referral Units. This is a challenging and rewarding role. You will work in a dedicated school to promote a healthy learning environment with the shared goal of enrolling all learners into mainstream education. This purpose-built Pupil Referral Unit will allow you the opportunity to play a significant part in learners' school development, working with KS1 to KS4.
Location: Swansea
Hours: 08:30 am to 15:30 pm
Pay: £83.85 per day
Start: Immediately
Contract: Full-Time
The right candidate will be confident in their communication skills, with a strong ability to challenge behavior and de-escalate situations while maintaining a patient and calm approach, prioritizing safeguarding.
You will work 1:1, creating a strong rapport with learners and motivating them to remain engaged. You will collaborate with the teacher to ensure the upkeep and morale of the classroom and assist with preparing and presenting learning material.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. GCSEs: Minimum 5 (A* - C)
2. Enhanced DBS Child Only
3. EWC Registration
4. Full Driving License (Preferred)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the option to make this role permanent possibly becoming available at a later date.
