PinkNews, the world’s largest LGBTQ+ media publisher, is looking for a talented individual to lead our social publishing strategy and elevate our content creation efforts.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of PinkNews’ channels. You’ll oversee the timely and optimised publishing of videos, provide strategic insights based on platform data, and collaborate with our video and content teams to enhance performance. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to build and grow your team, reporting directly to the Head of Video while working closely with our audience and editorial teams.

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 DOE (the band for this role allows for applicants with varying levels of experience and expertise. We will discuss salary expectations during the interview stages).
Location: London - you’ll ideally be based in our London office for 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities of the Growth and Publishing Lead:
* Oversee the optimising and publishing of all video content on all social platforms using analytics and data.
* Be a key driver in PinkNews' publishing strategy on all social platforms including but not limited to Meta, Snap, TikTok, YouTube.
* Monthly data reports and content analytics insights.
* Work with Head of Video and the Executive Producers to provide insights into commissioning strategy and production.
* Lead on the strategy for publishing across social platforms regarding timings and days based on data analytics.
* Implement the creation and optimisation of metadata, thumbnail generation and social content.
* Work with the tech team to finesse our owned and operated products to provide instruction on tech needs.
* Lead on processes for publishing and scheduling tools such as Sprout.
* Oversee and ensure timely publishing of all video content.
* Lead on publishing testing strategies including A/B testing across all platforms to improve content performance.
* Increase follower count, revenue and overall viewership across all PinkNews owned and operated channels.
* Future involvement in supporting the hiring and management of a publishing team.
What we're looking for in a successful candidate:
* 4+ years experience in social media publishing.
* Proven experience in analytical skills & data management.
* Expert knowledge of Meta, Snap, YouTube and TikTok publishing.
* Previous management experience is essential.
* Strong organisation skills.
* Branded content publishing is desired.
* Excellent written and spoken communication.
* Strong copywriting skills.
* Newsroom or digital publishing experience is preferable.
