We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to support a number of exciting projects that are delivering our strategic ambitions at properties in Cornwall. We are looking for a great communicator and a strong team-player who can support the Project Manager and project teams by providing excellent coordination and collaboration.
Working with the Project Manager, you’ll support the coordination of objectives across a number of key Cornwall projects. The project deliverables are varied and are at various stages, from development to delivery, often involving multiple workstreams. You’ll help keep an accurate overview of a projects activity, bringing together information from our established teams and external partners to help deliver the work. You will help enable and support effective organisation and coordination of the Project Board.
The role is offered on a full time 6 month fixed term contract basis. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience.

Day-to-day, you’ll work intensively with a Project Manager, and the property teams, as well as internal and external specialists, stakeholders and partners.
We can be flexible about working patterns and are happy to explore and agree a working arrangement which strikes the right balance for you and the National Trust. Regular travel to attend on-site and stakeholder meetings across the project areas in Cornwall will be required as well as frequent hybrid / online working and from our Lanhydrock hub office.
What you'll be doing
You’ll support our established teams and the Project Manager, whilst working within the National Trust’s Project Management Framework, to support projects in West Cornwall among others. As part of the South West consultancy you may also be required to support other projects outside of Cornwall.
The role will be supporting the coordination of projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure an overview is available. You’ll manage your time effectively to support the delivery across multiple priorities and at pace.
The role will involve working closely with the Project Manager, property teams, project board and clients. Building effective working relationships across multiple teams and stakeholders will be key.
You will also be an active part in the Trust’s wider project management community - a network of sharing of best practice, ensuring that our projects are delivering benefits in line with our national strategy.
Who we're looking for
1. Knowledge and practical experience of coordination of project management processes, administration and systems, including procurement, finance and reporting.
2. Good people and stakeholder skills with ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
3. Strong and sensitive written and verbal communication skills.
4. Good understanding of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel and comfortable working with a range of different systems.
5. Able to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines using a thorough, detailed approach to work.
6. Confident with diary management and organising practicalities for face-to-face meetings, like minute taking, action log/risk log support.
7. The ability to work well both in a team and on your own initiative.
