About the Role
As a Social Worker at Elpida House CRC, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation and recovery services to residents living with mental health conditions. You will provide specialist assessments, therapeutic interventions, and family / carer support, ensuring residents have the tools and resources needed to thrive in the community. Your expertise will be essential in advocating for residents, coordinating with mental health teams, primary care providers, and external organisations to promote individualised recovery plans. By empowering residents to participate in meaningful community activities, you'll contribute to their enhanced functioning and well-being.
Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will support the development of rehabilitation plans in partnership with residents, families, and key stakeholders. You will also provide guidance and supervision to Community Rehabilitation Workers, fostering their professional growth while ensuring the highest standards of care are upheld. This role offers opportunities for involvement in service improvement initiatives, research, and educational activities, allowing you to make a lasting impact in mental health care delivery.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Social Worker with the following qualities :
* Qualifications & Expertise : Tertiary qualification in Social Work, with eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Engagement & Assessment Skills : Ability to engage with high-needs consumers, conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and mental state assessments, and develop tailored rehabilitation strategies.
* Therapeutic & Recovery Knowledge : Experience applying a range of therapeutic interventions, recovery principles, and individualised care planning for people with mental health challenges.
* Team & Supervision Skills : Proven ability to work autonomously, supervise non-clinical staff, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professional integrity.
