We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our service as a Senior Associate Educator, working alongside the Practice Development Nurses and Clinical Education Team. In this role, you will support Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) in undertaking and completing their Care Certificates
-maintaining comprehensive written and verbal reports on HCA progress using digital technology including Excel, -ensuring clear and effective communication with patients, staff, and relatives, a -providing concise handovers to both the education team and registered nurses.
- You will report on accidents and incidents, contribute to team meetings, and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Additionally, you will be involved in data collection for audits and reports, and actively participate in the development and review of policies related to HCAs.
-This position requires excellent communication skills, adaptability to service changes, and adherence to mandatory training and Trust policies. You will -work closely with other Senior Associate Educators and Practice Development Nurses to deliver effective training sessions, ensuring all materials and information are accurately communicated and utilised.

Communication and Working Relationships
Provide verbal reports and maintain written reports on HCA progress via excel spreadsheet and utilising the Learning Academy. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Provide concise handovers to other members of the education team.
Communicate effectively with patients, staff and relatives.
Report all accidents and incidents involving self, patients, staff or visitors according to procedure.
Participate and contribute to Team Meetings and discussions.
Communicate effectively using computer systems within the Trust.
Role model excellent communication skills.Report to the education team on a regular basis on Care Certificate progress.
Act at all times in a manner which respects privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
Be prepared to be peer observed in teaching delivery to allow development of your teaching skills and to have regular active feedback from colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment and evaluation of HCA fundamental care delivery and HCA clinical skills in a variety of settings to work toward completion of The Care Certificate.
Act as a role model for high standards of fundamental care delivery to patients at all times and HCA related clinical skills .
Teaching clinical skills, such as Observations and NEWS, on the HCA induction programme, care certificate and HCA CPD programme on a regular basis with support from the practice education team.
Support assessors in practice area's in understanding of care certificate documentation and assist in problem solving.
To assist and provide named supervisor/assessor support for candidates registered on the Care Certificate programme.
To provide clinical or developmental support for other HCSW by working one to one or within the clinical area .
Complete other administrative tasks as delegated.
Occasional requirement to directly give feedback to HCA's on poor performance and manage their distress followed up by contributing to an action plan and communication with their manager/assessor and practice educator / development colleagues.
Be responsible for own personal development, including keeping up to date with Mandatory training and training relevant to the area of practice.
Work to and promote adherence to Trust policy at all times.
