How you'll make a difference
You will make a difference by procuring and managing quality private sector accommodation for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness as well as supporting people to sustain their tenancies.
What you will be doing
* You will be responsible for ensuring tenancies are managed effectively, including rent collection and dealing with any repairs issues or concerns with the tenant’s conduct.
* It will be your responsibility to complete regular property inspections and ensure compliance with all regulations and codes of practice.
* You will liaise with tenants, landlords, and maintenance contractors, signposting to appropriate support services where issues are identified.
* You will promote the work of the team and actively seek to procure new properties for the portfolio.
* Regularly, you will provide advice to colleagues and customers, ensuring that advice is clear, accurate and up to date.
What we need from you
* It is essential you hold a relevant qualification e.g. minimum of NVQ 3, 2 A levels or equivalent qualification, or have relevant experience in a housing, homelessness, or a housing management environment.
* Given the elements of this role, you will have a good understanding of housing management practices, and good experience of delivering housing services to vulnerable people and minority groups.
* You will demonstrate knowledge of landlord and tenant responsibilities, enforcement action and legal processes.
* We require you to have a comprehensive understanding of relevant processes, procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
What you need to know
* This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week.
* This is a 12 month limited term contract, ending 31st March 2026.
* Please note that due to the nature of this role, it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained.
