We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our team at CK Upholstery. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring, repairing, and customizing furniture to meet the specific needs and preferences of our clients. You will work with a variety of materials and techniques to deliver high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and durable upholstery solutions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Upholster, repair, and restore furniture pieces, including chairs, sofas, and other seating items, using traditional and modern techniques.
2. Assess the condition of furniture and provide recommendations for repairs or reupholstery.
3. Cut, measure, and sew fabrics, leathers, and other materials to fit furniture designs accurately.
4. Use tools and equipment such as staplers, sewing machines, and hand tools to complete upholstery tasks.
5. Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring a high-quality finish on all projects.
6. Collaborate with clients and design teams to understand specific needs and preferences.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new upholstery materials and techniques.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an upholsterer or in a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, tools, and materials.
3. Ability to work with various fabrics, leathers, and padding materials.
4. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients to understand their requirements.
6. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
