Our Local Authority client in Essex is seeking a Remote Environmental Health Officer to take the lead in providing a comprehensive range of consultation responses to planning applications.
The primary focus of this role is on noise-related matters, with additional responsibilities encompassing nuisance and contaminated land under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Control of Pollution Act 1974. You will be expected to handle highly complex correspondence, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and within established deadlines to meet the Council’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct analysis of acoustic reports, with a preference for candidates holding a specialist acoustic qualification to demonstrate expertise in this area.
2. Prepare detailed specifications and reports to support planning conditions in alignment with Council requirements.
Qualifications:
1. BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health or a Diploma in Acoustics (or equivalent qualification).
