Information Systems/Information Technology Manager – Indiana
Our manufacturing client, located in north-central Indiana, is seeking an Information Systems (IS)/Information Technology (IT) Manager. The IS/IT Manager will direct and coordinate the development and production activities of computerized information systems and necessary technology to support the business needs, including that required for communications.
IS/IT Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations and determines system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
* Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget and staffing.
* Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
* Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel and suppliers for services and products.
* Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the company’s LAN, WAN, network segment, Internet and Intranet systems.
* Responsible for the design, development maintenance and enforcement of the company’s computer network and physical security systems and policies.
* Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the company’s datacenter including, but not limited to, server and storage infrastructure.
* Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the company’s phone system.
* Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the company’s key data entry systems, including but limited to, ERP systems, CRM systems, document management/lifecycle systems, CAD engineering systems, production/FAB systems and project management systems.
* Responsible for the management of the company’s IT/IS department including, but not limited to, prioritization of: department/company IT projects, service requests, software updates and policies.
* Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
* Manages computer operation scheduling, back-up, storage, and retrieval functions.
* Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction and maintenance to determine costs and impact in order to address the problems.
* Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.
* Develops, maintains and tests company websites, both internal and external.
* Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software and telecommunications services.
* Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others.
* Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration usage.
* Manage preventative cyber-attack.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
IS/IT Manager Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, or related field OR
* 1-2 years related experience and/or training in equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
* Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or public groups.
* Reliable and predictable attendance required.
* Ability to work on-site.
