Job Summary
We are seeking a Health & Safety Senior Advisor to join our Trading Compliance department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to confidently communicate and champion compliance.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety across our network of stores, warehouses, and offices.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deal with regulatory and operational processes and issues, including accident investigations, food hygiene, and statutory noise complaints.
* Provide guidance on relevant topics and reactive support to maintain Lidl at the forefront of regulatory compliance.
* Ensure risk assessments and internal procedures remain current, compliant, and effective.
* Develop corporate policy and test new initiatives and procedures.
* Support key decision makers and influence projects to ensure health and safety is at the forefront of decision making.
* Conduct site visits and inspections across our stores, warehouses, and offices to ensure necessary levels of understanding and compliance are in place.
* Produce, evaluate, and issue various analysis and performance reports.
* Undertake incident and accidents investigations.
* Represent and support the company during local authority contact.
* Liaise with external service providers to ensure highest levels of service and statutory compliance.
Requirements:
* A relevant degree (e.g. Environment Health) with relevant experience or working towards the NEBOSH Diploma or similar with relevant experience.
* Experience working within a multi-site retail or warehousing environment is highly beneficial.
* Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety Legislation.
* Membership of a relevant industry body (e.g. IOSH) is preferential.
* Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to influence and persuade people at all levels both within meeting and training environments, and informally.
* Ability to project a professional positive presence and credibility.
* Effective time management skills, able to work within tight time frames with ability to plan and prioritise, and think clearly and strategically.
* Strong written skills and IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Flexibility to travel to all areas within GB and must hold a full UK driving licence.
