We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player who can demonstrate high standards of reception and administrative skills to join the Health Records Team. The successful candidate will be based at Wansbeck Hospital however, they will be required to work on other sites within the Trust to ensure a high quality service is provided at all times.
The successful candidate must be flexible and able to adjust to the requirements of the service to cover various shifts, including weekends and all Bank Holidays.
This is a demanding role and the post holder must be able to work under pressure to meet the needs of the service. Full training will be given to allow the successful candidate to work as part of the team in the Central Medical Records Library, Medical Records Hubs, Main Outpatients, Wansbeck Clinic, Gynaecology, Antenatal, Morpeth View and Main Reception areas.
Experience of working with the general public and being able to demonstrate professionalism at all times is an essential part of this role.
Customer orientated service compliant with the Trust confidentiality policy in line the GDPR.
Receiving patients and visitors into the reception areas with accurate and efficient recording of patient activity using NHS computer systems including Patient Administration System (PAS) and Mediviewer.
Work in partnership with colleagues in the Health Records Hubs, wards and departments across the Trust to provide a high-quality service to enhance the patient experience.
To provide non-clinical advice to patients, relatives, the public and internal and external agencies.
There is a physical element to the role involving moving and handling of flatbeds and trollies, use of stepladders and standing for long periods when working in reception areas.

Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and service users.
