Role Overview: We seek a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to provide technical support to our engine development facility, ensuring high-quality data output.
About the Position: The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical plant maintenance from automotive or process lead manufacturing backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including breakdowns, planned works, and total preventative maintenance.
* Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematic and detailed circuit drawings.
* Install service systems, including compressed air, process water, and diesel fuel, as well as associated components.
Requirements:
* Served engineering indentured apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and relevant job-related experience.
* Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, machine shop operations, and quality objectives.
* Able to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.
* Fault finding and diagnostics skills for hydraulic systems and fuel systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Electrical 18th or 19th edition qualification.
Salary and Benefits:
£23.65 per hour PAYE, 12-month renewable contract, Cambridgeshire location, Monday-Friday 7:30-16:15 with every other Friday off. Opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
