Role Overview
The successful candidate will operate within the Engineering function, providing analysis and design skills. Responsibilities include defining and delivering user requirements for significant projects, engaging with project teams and customers to ensure delivery meets needs. This is primarily an office-based role in Gloucester or Manchester, with potential for hybrid working.
Skills and Experience
* Formal training and experience in functional, data, or BA roles, including modelling business processes and solution implementations.
* Experience with tooling such as DOORS, Atlassian suite.
* Understanding of iterative and time-boxed development methodologies, and the ability to articulate their benefits.
* Practical knowledge of software development processes.
* Strong delivery focus with evidence of successful project delivery.
* Excellent communication and mentoring skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
* High business acumen and ability to quickly understand customer needs.
Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver user requirements within Agile frameworks.
* Perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, and collaborate with project management to prioritize and negotiate functionalities.
* Gather requirements using various techniques and document them appropriately.
* Evaluate information critically, reconcile conflicts, and understand user needs versus underlying requirements.
* Communicate and collaborate with customers to assess needs and document requirements.
* Translate customer needs into application and operational requirements.
* Act as a bridge between customers and project teams.
* Work with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical visions and trade-offs.
* Participate in testing activities including UAT and functionality testing.
