Job Description:
1. Planning the Annual Event Programme
2. Working with the Events Manager and Psychosocial Leads to design the Annual Event
3. Programme, considering successes, areas for improvement and new opportunities.
4. Ensuring a varied programme that engages both life-limited children and their families, and those who are bereaved.
5. Ensuring events for families from diverse backgrounds, celebrating various festivals and considering different ways to engage families.
6. Ensuring events are accessible to families, with opportunities local to them.
7. Supporting bereaved families with “safe firsts”, for example, attending a grotto for the first time at the hospice, after one of their children has died.
8. Facilitating “Look and Feel” meetings with those leading events
9. Event research regarding venues, providers and engaging opportunities
10. Researching and purchasing materials for events
11. Co-ordinating with the admin/facilities team to arrange catering and equipment/spaces.
12. Creating outlook appointments for events, with key event information
