MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver Environmental Management, Energy generation, Assurance, Natural Resources & Data Science.
2. Work with the EMEA Business Services Organization (BSO) in Poland for timely and accurate reporting of energy consumption and emissions.
3. Implement and maintain accreditation under ISO50001, BREEAM in Use, Water Stewardship, and others as required.
4. Maintain and deliver Energy, Water, and Carbon Strategies to achieve energy reduction targets.
5. Ensure compliance with clients' Safety, Health & Environment procedures.
6. Inform the client of compliance requirements with ESG related legislation relevant to the client's sites.
7. Develop and implement strategic briefs for design guides/standards to meet client objectives.
8. Assist clients with maintaining compliance with ESG related legislation.
9. Work with CBRE Operational Teams to ensure adherence to minimum sustainability standards.
10. Manage training schemes for CBRE staff and suppliers.
11. Maintain a close working relationship with the Warsaw BSO Team; travel to Warsaw will be required.
12. Collaborate with wider CBRE ESG teams for best practices in energy, water, and emissions reduction.
13. Oversee the VisionHub ESG initiative tracking process.
14. Conduct energy and water surveys to identify opportunities for carbon emissions reduction.
15. Provide feasibility studies for initiatives/projects to reduce energy usage.
16. Maintain understanding of corporate energy and water strategies and legal issues affecting clients and CBRE.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Report to the CBRE Service Excellence Director.
2. Ensure delivery of services as per contractual responsibility.
3. Manage the CBRE energy team in the UK.
CORE SKILLS:
1. Extensive working knowledge of energy and sustainability in a pharmaceutical R&D environment.
2. Knowledge of techniques and technologies supporting energy and sustainability.
3. Competency in benchmarking techniques and statistical analysis.
4. Ability to prepare fully costed proposals and reports.
5. Capability to conduct energy surveys and feasibility studies.
6. Support client plans for carbon neutrality or net zero.
7. Extensive knowledge of BMS and control theory.
8. Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and lighting operation/system design.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education: Degree in energy and sustainability, engineering or building services; specific energy efficiency/low carbon qualifications are desirable.
Training: Member of or working towards membership of relevant professional institute (e.g., Energy Institute, CIBSE, IEMA); IOSH Managing Safely.
Experience Essential:
1. Experience in energy management, procurement, and compliance.
2. Knowledge of techniques supporting efficient energy use.
3. Experience in developing business cases for energy technology implementation.
4. Knowledge of built environment operation.
5. Understanding of Mechanical & Electrical services and plant operation.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
Desirable Experience:
1. Knowledge of aM&T techniques and building certification schemes (BREEAM, LEED).
2. Familiarity with Building Management Systems/Pharma/Industrial Process/Manufacturing.
3. Experience in formulating and validating Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
