Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring the efficiency of our supply chain. Strong negotiation skills, along with a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management, are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Procure goods and services in a timely manner for off-site manufacturing, on-site operations, and stock replenishment.
* Achieve cost-saving targets while ensuring procurement meets company standards.
* Manage and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Continuously update and improve the approved supplier and contractor list.
* Collaborate with the Stores Manager to monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient inventory.
* Maintain clear communication with the Manufacturing Manager and other relevant teams to ensure timely procurement based on their needs.
* Work closely with designated site teams to meet both planned and ad-hoc procurement requirements within project timelines.
* Establish and maintain a reliable, cost-effective, and quality-assured supply chain.
* Attend meetings as required.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills
* CIPS/NVQ qualification in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
* Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
* Excellent negotiation and research abilities.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Previous experience working in procurement
