Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Salary: Up to £25,000 plus study support
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Location: Green Lane Walsall- (Hybrid – 3dpw typical in the office)

We are looking to add to our finance team and are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support with management reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has studied finance and administration and is now looking to add to their experience with an all round role.
The Role:
* Preparation of month end management accounts for an Echo Business Unit, to include:
* Calculation of accruals and prepayments
* Journal posting in Oracle
* Preparation of the monthly P&L position
* Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations
* Analysis of actual results against budget and forecast, providing commentary on key variances.
* Preparation of financial performance by region and customer.
* Review of monthly results with the Finance Business Partner for the Echo Business Unit.
* Preparation of compliance documents for Echo’s Australian business.
* Accounts receivable processing and credit control for the Echo Business Unit.
* Ongoing review of financial processes and controls, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
* First point of contact for accounting queries relating to the Echo Business Unit.
* Supporting the Finance Business Partner with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecast for the Echo Business Unit.
* Supporting the Finance Business Partner with ad hoc requests for information where required.
* Cross skilling with other Echo Management Accountant roles so cover can be provided as required.
What you’ll need:
* Finance graduate or AAT L4
* Enthusiasm and a desire to continue your studies towards a professional qualification
* Strong excel skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
* Familiarity with computer-based finance packages (Oracle experience preferred but not essential).
* Speed and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Team player mindset and excellent communication skills.
* Flexible working attitude.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
