If you share these values, we’d love you to join our team. We are currently recruiting a part time Support Worker at Castlebrae Glebe. The service provides personal care and housing support to individuals who live in their own homes within the development. Hours of employment are 16 hours per week, working 2 out of 7 days on a shift rota basis. The service operates from 7:00am until 10:00pm, Monday to Sunday. The shifts are 7:00am - 3:00pm, 8:00am - 5:00pm or 2:00pm - 10:00pm. In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their homes including: Assisting with household tasks Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care Moving and handling, including use of hoists and equipment Medication prompting/ administering Please note for this role, and for genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint a Female Support Worker (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9). About You You Will Have good communication skills, both verbal and written Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis Have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of taking up the post Whilst experience in working in care is desirable, it is not essential.
