An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our integrated Trust safeguarding team. We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist / Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner in Safeguarding Children – we are looking for an individual who is passionate, enthusiastic and highly motivated to safeguard children within a busy acute Trust.

The post is for 30 hours over 4 days Monday – Friday. Opportunities for flexible working are available.
The CNS for Safeguarding Children works as part of the Safeguarding Team across the Trust to ensure that all staff understand and meet their responsibility in relation to safeguarding the welfare of children in line with local and national guidance.
This includes providing specialist advice to a range of professionals across different disciplines on assessing, analysing and managing risk where there are concerns about the safety and welfare of children.
With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

Contributing to, facilitating and providing training packages to staff working across the Trust on safeguarding and related topics in line with national guidance.
The postholder will also provide safeguarding supervision to staff working in key clinical areas.
