Due to continued growth, my client is looking to grow their geo-environmental consultancy division.
In this role you will

1. Discover the fundamentals of the geo-environmental industry, including contaminated land risk assessment and geotechnical design;

3. Participate in a variety of challenging and innovative projects across residential, commercial, and civil engineering industries, including having opportunities to manage projects through the entire life-cycle of a construction programme.
The ideal individual for this role will be:

3. Willing to develop their proficiency in fieldwork techniques, production and management of data, and both factual and interpretative reporting;
4. Able to apply a commercial appraisal to projects, ensuring that value for money is paramount in all work undertaken.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Co-ordination, supervision, and management of ground investigations, including Phase 1 (desk-top) studies, Phase 2 (intrusive) investigations, and subsequent monitoring and remediation works;
2. Understanding geotechnical/geological and environmental aspects of site investigation;
3. Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are followed during all fieldwork practices;
4. Accurate and precise recording of fieldwork data, and clear, concise presentation of such data;
5. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and staff in both office and field settings;
6. Preparing client reports, including environmental risk assessments, remedial recommendations, foundation recommendations, and coal mining risk assessments;
7. Assisting senior staff with preparations of reports, drawings, models, and fee proposals.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
1. First degree in Geology or related subject, ideally with practical modules encompassing fieldwork;
2. A full, clean driving license;
3. Based within an easily commutable distance to Manchester;
4. Full right to work in the UK, both now and in the future without need for sponsorship.
