About you
We are looking for a permanent Public Health Commissioning Manager. In this role you'll manage and oversee the implementation of key public health commissioning programmes. Based on an understanding of local health and wellbeing need you'll support the development of commissioning priorities and plans for public health services in Trafford to reduce inequalities. You'll work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as NHS, voluntary sector agencies and communities to align the market with the aspirations of service users as well as work with contract and procurement staff to support the delivery of services. This post will cover smoking cessation, GP/Pharmacy contracts, health inequalities and sexual health.
With experience of project management and commissioning of services, and a degree or a professional management/ commissioning qualification, you'll have strong organisational skills to ensure projects are meeting key performance indicators and are delivered within set timescales. Using excellent communication skills and your experience in multi-agency working, you'll build strong working relationships with key stakeholders to improve health and well-being outcomes. You'll be able to analyse performance and financial data as well as have the ability to present clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences in order to influence decision makers and command the confidence of others.
