Our Client, Wigan Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children's Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
* You must have a caring and friendly nature and you put children, young people and their families at the heart of all you do
* Significant knowledge and fundamental understanding of research, innovation and good practice
* Experience and knowledge of working with children and families in CIN, CP and Court proceedings
* Experience of managing and leading a team of workers to achieve effective outcomes for children and families and driving performance.
* In depth knowledge of statutory and legislative frameworks which underpin effective care planning
* Experience of a broad spectrum of services within the field of social work with children and families either through social work experience or through training
* The ability to work as part of a team and alongside colleagues from other areas of Children’s services
* Good time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and reorganise the workload to meet conflicting demands"
Requirements of this role:
* Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Must have experience as Social Work Team Manager
* Must have a minimum of 3 years’ post Qualifying experience
