Job Title: Business Development Manager - Door Entry Security Systems
Industry Sector: Private Residential, Door Entry Systems, Security Systems, Security Doors, Locks, Mechanical security, CCTV, Home Automation, Architectural Ironmongery, Security glass, entrance systems, Access Control
Area to be covered: North East, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire
Remuneration: £40,000 + £7,500 Bonus
Benefits: Company Car or Car Allowance & full benefits
Role Responsibilities:
1. Field sales role predominantly selling a high quality high tech range of manufactured door entry and access control systems, but also CCTV and home automation.
2. Majority of your time selling through security distribution partners (8 main partners nationally) circa 25-30 spending account on this area.
3. Lesser amount of time selling direct into some security contractors/installers.
4. Focus on private residential projects such as larger apartment blocks, student accommodation, luxury apartments etc.
5. Approximate 50:50 split between managing and expanding existing accounts and generating new business.
6. Revenue target £500,000.
7. Typically 4 days per week on the road (9-12 appointments per week), one day working from home/administration.
8. Supported by dedicated specification field sales team and internal sales support.
9. Dealing with order values that can range from as small as £2,000 up to £50k for a large order.
10. Updating the company's CRM system.
Ideal Applicant:
1. Demonstrable field sales track record with the security industry.
2. Experience selling door entry is ideal but not essential.
3. Open to distribution or contractor led customer experience.
4. Open to related security product sales with electrical or engineered products such as: access control, door entry, doors, security glass, automated doors, architectural ironmongery, mechanical security and locks etc.
5. Technically savvy with a strong understanding of electrical and engineered solutions.
6. Capable of managing key relationships with distributors and security contractors/installers.
7. Ideally electrical/engineering qualification or experience previously in a technical role.
8. Self-motivated, hungry driven and capable of working on own initiative.
9. Enthusiastic, energetic, resilient and a team player.
