Our highly motivated and talented Pathology team will appreciate your ‘can do’ attitude as you deliver quality pathology services and take a share of covering an on-call service out of hours. You’ll enjoy a varied range of responsibilities - from performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control and keeping records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables. What’s more, you’ll help us to validate and assess new equipment and develop new diagnostic procedures, as part of our ongoing quest to deliver the very best experience possible for patients.
It is essential you’re registered with the HCPC and have relevant laboratory experience in Histopathology. You’ll bring to the role good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques. A great communicator and team player, you understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.
The Role
As a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will;
1. Deliver quality pathology services and taking a share of covering on-call service out of hours.
2. Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control.
3. Keep records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables.
4. Support the organisation in validating and assessing new equipment and developing new diagnostic procedures. This is part of our ongoing quest to deliver the very best experience possible for patients.
The Person
To succeed as a Senior Biomedical Scientist you will have;
5. Relevant laboratory experience in Histopathology, multi-disciplinary biomedical science experience an advantage but training will be given.
6. Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques.
7. Great communication and team player skills.
8. The ability to understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.
